Dear Contributor: Thank you for submitting your work to the Real-Time Live! program.

We are looking for innovations in real-time graphics and interactive techniques that:
  • Can be demonstrated in a 6-8 minute presentation
  • Are genuine real-time live demos - with any use of pre-cached and any other non-real-time data in our presentations declared to both the Jury (in this Submission) and Audience (during the Show itself)
  • Are highly engaging for an audience of thousands of attendees
Your submission will be reviewed by a jury of subject matter experts who will need to fully understand how you plan to give a behind-the-scenes look at your technology while captivating an audience in a short amount of time.

Please keep this in mind while answering the following questions as thoroughly as possible.

Upon acceptance, you will receive communication from ACM with instructions on completing the rights management form and containing a link to the rights management form for your content. Completing the form is a requirement for presentation and publication. Please complete the form as soon as possible after receiving it. If you have an "e-mail spam whitelist," please add "[email protected]" to that whitelist. The ACM rights management form defines the manner in which the material you've submitted will be used, and allows you the opportunity to grant or deny specific uses of that material and of your in-person presentation at the conference.

Technical Overview
Define the technical process behind your work. What breakthroughs does this work make in the real-time space? What value will the SIGGRAPH Asia real-time communities find in this work?
Presentation Question 1
A Real-Time Live! presentation should capture hearts AND minds. Clearly show the audience why they should care. Think about how and what you are communicating on-stage. How can you most effectively spotlight your innovation? Sometimes less is more.
Presentation Question 2
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to present in person you will need to present via a remote live link or via a video filmed ‘as if live’ (e.g. single camera single shot).

In this case, please describe (a) how you will maintain the live and risky feel of the event, and (b) how you will ensure that your presentation is as good (or perhaps even better?) than an in-person presentation.

Network Requirements

Wired connections are strongly recommended. If you have non-negotiable wireless needs, please describe them as specifically as possible.

Please consider the following:
  • Access content locally/offline for high-bandwidth applications.
  • Avoid using 2.4 Ghz (802.11 wireless G) if possible.
  • Refrain from downloading large files while at the conference – bring them on hard drives.
  • While every effort will be made to provide a functional environment, please be aware that interference from mobile phones or other devices may interfere with your piece.
Rights Management
Accepted contributors to the ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2023 conference will use ACM's rights management system to grant rights for the presentation and publication of accepted content.
  • If your submission is accepted, please ensure that you will be able to attain the proper permissions for your Representative Image and Video by 18 August 2023. This media will be used for event-related promotional purposes.

Representative Image

  • Maximum 2-minute segment of captured video from your project
    • Multiple non-continuous edits are permissible.
    • Post-processing such as image or speed enhancement is strictly prohibited.
    • Narration explaining the content in the video is highly encouraged.

  • Maximum 200 MB size

Important Notes
  • When you submit the form, wait to see if any errors are reported. If errors are not fixed, it will not be counted as submitted.
  • When this submission has been received, a confirmation email will be sent to each contributor entered above. These emails should be kept as receipts. If they do not get this email, it is likely that the submission has not been received. They should verify that they can see it on their "My Submissions" page, and if not, resubmit. It is your responsibility to confirm that the submission has been received.
