  is held after the death of a gardener. Three brothers find themselves los
 t in their imaginations on the day of the burial.\n\nLong synopsis: In the
  middle of the night, atop a small-town church, a ghost climbs inside a bi
 rdplane and takes flight. The object travels past a house, across the wind
 ows of three brothers; Julian, Philip and Eric. They sit in their respecti
 ve rooms and watch the ethereal object as it disappears into dawn. The nex
 t day, the three brothers attend a funeral. An open casket reveals the bod
 y of a large, bearded man, the same one who flew from the top of the churc
 h the night before. Staring at the gardener's body, the three brothers los
 e themselves in their imaginations. Eric climbs up a flower tree that spro
 uts beneath the gardener's body. At the top, He finds the butterfly he had
  been chasing. Philip finds himself in a vast field of red roses. He follo
 ws a stream of birdplanes traveling through the skies across the hills. Ju
 lian is transported into a labyrinth of clocks. He catches fright and trie
 s to find his way out of the interminable maze. After the funeral, the thr
 ee brothers are each left questioning the reality of their world.\n\nRegis
